Nhật Tân Bridge (Vietnam – Japan Friendship Bridge) and Irabu Bridge received the Tanaka Prize (Excellence in Bridge Design and Construction) from the Japan Society of Civil Engineers in fiscal 2014. This prize is awarded to works that have features in terms of planning, design, production / construction, consideration for maintenance, etc. in new-build and renovated bridges and similar structures.
Nhật Tân Bridge (Vietnam – Japan Friendship Bridge) is a bridge with a length of 1,500 m (central span length 300 m) crossing the city of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Nippon Engineering Consultants participated in this project in partnership with Chodai Co., Ltd., and carried out detailed design and construction supervision for the main bridge.
Nhật Tân Bridge (Vietnam – Japan Friendship Bridge)
Irabu Bridge has a length of 3,540 m (ship passage section 420 m) connecting Irabu-jima and Miyako-jima about 310 kilometers southwest of Okinawa main island. We were responsible for the detailed design of the ship passage section through a JV with Chuo Kensetu Consultants, Co., Ltd. and for the landscape design for the whole bridge.
