Nippon Engineering Consultants is happy to announce we have been awarded the Ozawa Award for Distinguished International Service (Corporate Division) by the general incorporated association Infrastructure Development Institute-Japan.
The Ozawa Award for Distinguished International Service was endowed by IDI’s first president, Kyutaro Ozawa, and is awarded to individuals and businesses for their work in land development or the construction field abroad, and is an honor without equal particularly for corporations engaged in business overseas.
The reason for our receiving this award is our achievement over about 40 years of overseas construction consulting work. In particular, our achievements in thorough detailed design for Special Assistance for Project Formation and construction supervision of the completed Nhật Tân Bridge in Hanoi, Vietnam, were noted. This bridge became a symbol of friendship between Japan and Vietnam, earning high praise from the governments of both nations and the people of Hanoi, and helped to raise the level of Vietnam’s skill in bridge construction by its example.
What’s more, the Nhật Tân Bridge was judged to “Demonstrate Japan’s bridge building prowess and realiability to the nations of Asia.”
Chairman of the Board and CEO Akira Takaku attended the awards ceremony on September 24th.
