To promote sustainable social growth, we are engaged with the challenges of protecting human life and national interests by creating countermeasures for natural disasters like mega typhoons brought by global warming and earthquake-caused tsunamis, as well as facilities that can compete on the international stage.

Freight and Fishing Port Designs
We can draft basic plans with long term guidance for port spaces that allow for planned growth and maintenance, as well as providing for reasonable and efficient use, management and operation. We also carry out planning and design for coastal protection facilities that can withstand major earthquakes and accompanying tidal waves.

Numerical Analysis/Biological Surveys
We carried out numerical analyses like wave and coastal deformation, wave simulations and FLIP to help study earthquake response. We also investigated sea-bottom fauna through dive surveys.

Noushi Fishing Harbor

We clarified the mechanism by which boat lanes and the harbor interior were buried by tsunami-caused sand movement. We determined the scope and arrangement of facilities to counter that.

Okudo Fishing Harbor

We figured input wave factors by calculating the energy balance equation from the sea floor to the calmness calculation zone by refractometry. We then analyzed harbor calmness for current and future shapes.

Misaki Fishing Harbor

For major outlying facilities, we performed studies into robust structures for earthquake and tsunami resistance, as well as the effectiveness of these measures for outlying areas.

Mera Fishing Harbor

We carried out studies to check the L1/L2 earthquake and tsunami resistance of facilities at Mera fishing harbor.

We performed studies for measures against seismic motion and L1 tsunamis, as well as robust structures that can resist tsunamis that surpass the more common types.

Ieshima Fishing Harbor

In order to assess the presence of rare species in reclamation zones, dive surveys (for sea-bottom fauna) were carried out.

Structural Design/O&M Planning
We carry out planning for new structures like breakwaters, wharfs, river dikes, unloading points, floodwall gates, and tsunami shelter towers. We can also investigate the earthquake resistance of existing structures, perform earthquake resistance improvement, and plan facilities with outstanding safety features.

Kanazawa Port

We performed basic planned section studies for revisions to planned sections of Kanazawa Port’s breakwater.
