Privacy Policy

Nippon Engineering Consultants Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) recognizes its important social responsibility to properly handle information that can identify individuals (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Information”). In addition, in order to put this into practice, the Company establishes its Privacy Policy as follows, thoroughly informs officers and employees of the Policy, and strives for proper handling of Personal Information.

1. Regarding compliance with laws and regulations

The Company shall comply with related laws such as the law concerning the protection of personal information (Act No. 57 of 2003), other guidelines on the protection of personal information, and criteria related to the “Guidelines on the protection of personal information in the field concerned with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport,” etc.

2. Collection, use and provision of Personal Information

Regarding the collection, use and provision of Personal Information, the Company shall establish management systems to protect Personal Information according to the actual business situation and deal with the Personal Information appropriately and carefully.

3. Regarding implementation of safety measures

In order to ensure the accuracy and safety of Personal Information, the Company conducts security measures including information security measures, and strives to prevent occurrences such as unauthorized access to Personal Information, or loss, destruction, falsification, or leakage, etc. of Personal Information. In addition, the Company shall rectify the situation promptly when safety measures are found to require improvement.

4. Regarding continuous improvement

The Company shall regularly review the protection and handling of Personal Information and strive to improve it.

Handling of Personal Information

The company shall handle Personal Information as follows.

(1) Regarding establishment of administrator

The Company shall appoint an officer in charge of protection of Personal Information. Also, the Company shall strive to protect Personal Information by appointing an administrator in charge of handling Personal Information in each branch and ensuring that they conduct appropriate management.

(2) Collection and use of Personal Information

When collecting Personal Information from individuals, the Company shall clarify the purpose of use to the individual and use lawful and fair means to the extent necessary for achieving the purpose. Also, the Company shall use Personal Information to the extent that it does not deviate from the purpose of use.

(3) Provision of Personal Information to third parties

When providing Personal Information to third parties, the Company shall do so within the scope of the purpose for which consent was received from the individual. In addition, in the case of providing Personal Information to third parties, the Company shall request consent beforehand unless otherwise stipulated in laws and ordinances.

(4) Management and supervision of outsourcing parties

In the case of outsourcing processing, etc. of Personal Information to a third party, the Company shall establish articles concerning the handling of Personal Information through a contract, etc. and shall properly manage and supervise the outsourcing party.

(5) Regarding queries, corrections, or deletion, etc. related to Personal Information

In response to a request for queries, corrections, or deletion, etc. related to Personal Information from the individual, we will respect this intention and take necessary measures within a reasonable range in which the Company has authority.

Regarding purpose of using Personal Information

The Company shall handle personal information provided by individuals to the extent necessary for achieving the following purposes, unless the Company informs the individual otherwise.

  • To manage shareholders, such as preparing shareholder data based on predetermined standards based on various laws and regulations

In order to achieve the above purposes of use, the Company may outsource information processing of Personal Information provided by individuals. Also, when provision of information is requested based on laws or ordinances, it may be provided to the relevant public organization.
