Stamp Commemorating 100th Anniversary of the JSCE to be issued September 1st


On September 1st, the Japan Post Network Co., Ltd. will issue a “100th Anniversary of Japan Society of Civil Engineers” commemorative stamp for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the JSCE.

Takashi Matsuzaki, of Nippon Engineering Consultants’ Landscape Design Office was in charge of the stamp’s design for. The sheet is intricately painted, with more than 30 types of civil engineering works done in watercolor. It shows how the work of we civil engineers provides the foundation for people’s daily lives, just for 100 years the JSCE has supported a “sustainable society for a life of affluence.” You may even find some works that are near you right now, but have gone unnoticed.
